The LandAid MIPIM Tennis Classic in association with BNP Paribas Real Estate raised a record £16,710 – double last year’s total – for the LandAid children’s charity in Cannes on Wednesday, March 16.

Around 100 people defied the elements to cheer on 28 players from the property industry in the second annual #Make A Racket round-robin charity tennis tournament at the prestigious Cannes Tennis Club. Spectators enjoyed a morning of great sport, champagne and live music in the leafy grounds close to the Croisette.

Steven Skinner of BNP Paribas, eventually emerged victorious, to lift the Make A Racket Shield. Matt Paulson-Ellis of Levy Real Estate was second, Paul Monaghan of Allford Hall Monaghan Morris was third and James Lugg of Folio UK took fourth place.

Liz Peace, Chairman of LandAid and former chief executive of the British Property Federation, and Max Artuso, First Officer of the Mayor of Cannes’ Office presented the trophies.

After the prize-giving John Slade, CEO of headline sponsor BNP Paribas Real Estate presented the cheque for £16,710 to Paul Morrish, Chief Executive of LandAid. While Mr Artuso accepted a cheque for £800 for the Cannes Community Fund.

In addition to BNP Paribas Real Estate and the founding partners of Folio UK, JPW, Inspired Homes and The Lorenz Consultancy, the event was sponsored by: Arc & Co., Assael, Essential Living, Estates Gazette, hyperoptic, Lendinvest, Loft-Interiors, London at MIPIM, and RGB Group. Special thanks to Daniel Killoran of Nudge Point.
